My name is Lee Rad, I am a Musician from Seoul. <br /><br />One of my favorite places in Seoul is Gyeongui Line Forest Trail in Yeonnam-dong.<br /><br />Within a short walking distance from Hongdae and Shinchon, you will discover a long green strip of land between tall buildings. <br /><br />More than a hundred years ago, Gyeongui Line originally stretched from Seoul station, through Sinuiju and China, to the continent of Europe.<br /><br />As the new underground railroads developed, the old above-ground rails transformed into a park full of green. <br /><br />Seoul folks call this place Yeontral-Park, named after the Central Park in New York. <br /><br />One of the main attractions of Gyeongui Line Forest Trail outing is Dongjin Market located right next to the trail.<br /><br />It’s a traditional market that boasts 50 years of history. <br /><br />The traditional market was once endangered to close down but in 2013, young handcraft makers flocked to the market and transformed it to a new cultural space.<br /><br />Now tourists can find many unique items created by the young artisans.<br /><br />There are also various craft workshops in the alleys near the market. <br /><br />You can make special portraits using flower petals.<br /><br />Or you can create your very own personalized bracelets and necklaces yourself. <br /><br />Yeonnam’s Forest Park changes into a different atmosphere at night.<br /><br />The young locals set themselves on the grass to eat and talk.<br /><br />Nearby shops are also getting busy.<br /><br />The crowded night time in Forest Trail is a precious place where I get to share my music.<br /><br />Once a quiet rail town, Yeonnam Dong is now currently transforming into one of Seoul’friendly neighborhoods.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br />▶ 기사 원문 : http://www.ytn.co.kr/_sp/1209_201611241728458242<br />▶ 제보 안내 : http://goo.gl/gEvsAL, 모바일앱, 8585@ytn.co.kr, #2424<br /><br />▣ YTN 유튜브 채널 구독 : http://goo.gl/Ytb5SZ<br /><br />[ 한국 뉴스 채널 와이티엔 / Korea News Channel YTN ]
